传统彩钢瓦又称彩色压型瓦，是采用彩色的涂层钢板冷弯成的各种波型的压型板。其颜色比较鲜艳靓丽，但是一接触酸雨等恶劣天气容易生锈成为废品,一般使用年限是3-5年，且导热系数低，只有0.041w/mk，这无疑给高温作业的厂房雪上加霜。彩钢瓦抗载承重能力较差，易损坏，瓦材本身质重，达到10-14公斤/平米，安装上也有难度。
